In the post-work section of the site I will be detailing what steps were taken to combine 2D and 3D artwork to achieve the final images, such as the one above. That image is one of three I created for a 3D competition a few years back which has simply had a halftone effect (like newspaper) applied. Applying such effects can dramatically change an image as well as make it useful for other projects such as posters or t-shirts, where printing the original would be cost prohibitive because of the amount of ink needed.
